Goat Cherry Origins begins with our inaugural expedition to El Salvador. Every future origin will build on the relationships, stories and standards established here. You are looking at the first chapter, not the tenth.
Each origin tells a different story. The archive begins with one.

Up before the light. Cold enough to see your breath at this height, which nobody warns you about in a country this warm.
Picked for three hours. Filled maybe a third of what Marta fills in one. She was kind about it. Ripe means it comes off with almost no pull — that's the whole lesson, apparently.
Cherries here are darker than the ones lower down.
Shade trees thin out above ~1,500. Sun exposure changes everything after that — she thinks that's why the top lot cups so different.

One stop on the route stays sealed until thirty days before departure — and there's a producer you'll meet whose story we won't tell in advance. Some things should arrive the way we found them: unannounced, on a road you weren't expecting to take.

Two to four hours of walking a day on uneven ground, at altitude, sometimes before sunrise. No technical climbing and no prior hiking experience — but you should be comfortable on your feet and on a slope.
Origin 001 is being scouted now. The priority list is how we tell you first when dates, price, inclusions and terms are confirmed — and it puts you ahead of general release when applications open. Joining commits you to nothing.
No. Your host and local guides translate throughout — though a few words go a long way at the table.
Everything you need to evaluate it: confirmed dates and price, deposit and cancellation terms, accommodation, transport, physical demands, food, health requirements, insurance requirements and what is excluded. One stop on the route is kept back as a surprise — nothing that affects your decision ever is.
When the harvest allows. Participants receive the numbered lot from their own expedition first; a small remainder is released later through Goat Cherry.
Most people do. Groups are small enough that you will know everyone by the second morning.
